Happy belated Thanksgiving!

As a Philly-based artist, one of the many things I am grateful for is The Print Center, a cherished nonprofit gallery that has supported print and photography in the city for over 100 years.

I'm pleased to share that this year's Print Center Benefit Auction, guest curated by Jacob Lewis, President of Pace Prints, includes one of my lithographs, Stripescape II. Themed "POP!" in tribute to the late Robert J. Morrison, a significant Philadelphia collector of Pop art prints, the auction will include a selection of photography and prints by over 100 artists. Proceeds from the event directly fund the Print Center's visual art and edu...

Silvermine Art Center in New Canaan, CT is giving props to the little guys in their current exhibition. "Big Impressions, Small Presses: Small Independent Press Shops," has being organized as a snapshot of work being produced by some of the great indie printmaking shops today in the Northeast U.S.. "Curated in collaboration with James Reed, Collections Manager for Silvermine’s Gabor Peterdi International Print Collection," this show includes 9 independent presses that have "contributed in a significant way to the contemporary art of printmaking. Among their many specialties are original fine-art lithographs, hand-printed fine art editions, mixed-media prints...

I've got a two-page spread in the latest Studio Visit Magazine (vol. 37) featuring both Stripescape I and II. This selection of international artists was juried by Diana Gaston, Director of the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, NM. Studio Visit is distributed to select curators and galleries around the U.S. While it is not available in stores a digital publication has been made available. Stripescape I and II were published by Petrichor Press and printed by Peter Haarz, TMP. Both are available for purchase at my shop.

Petrichor Press brought the goods to the Baltimore Contemporary Print Fair, which ran April 1 -2 at Baltimore Museum of Art. Among the highlights were a suite of ten new prints by Astrid Bowlby, an inverse print of her work, Everything, and two grey color-trial-proofs of my "Stripescape" lithographs, all of which were shown for the first time. All images are from the preview on Friday, March 31.

Drawing is central to how I interpret the world. I'm pleased to announce my participation in Paper Work, a group exhibition at Snyderman-Works that surveys work by eleven Philadelphia-based artists "whose work is not only insightful and well-crafted, but also speaks to critical, social and cultural topics." Here, "paper retains primacy as the structural support or medium of expression."

I'll be represented by "Stacked Grid", the cardboard and paint piece above, as well as three prints from Petrichor Press, including the editioned "Stripescape" works as well as a one-of-a-kind variation signed as a color-trial-proof.

I am working with Petrichor Fine Art Press in Philadelphia to produce two lithograph editions as part of an artist portfolio series.

Following a group show at Woodmere Art Museum, I was contacted by the guys at Petrichor, who were moving their print shop to Philadelphia and wanted to work closely with artists to produce fine art lithographs. They felt my work would translate beautifully.

The work they'd seen exhibited at Woodmere was a diptych of duct tape relief pieces, one made in mimicry of the other. We decided to take this approach a step further and produce flat prints from original maquettes, a new pair of relief duct tape pieces composed of st...
