My artistic practice has been motivated by an urge to account for unreliable visual experiences— measured through photography, interpreted through the language of painting, and formed in mixed media.

For this body of work, I have sought to create a viewing experience that is also unreliable: one that wavers between being animate and still, camouflaged and seen, simulated and factual, permanent and temporary.
