Silvermine Art Center in New Canaan, CT is giving props to the little guys in their current exhibition. "Big Impressions, Small Presses: Small Independent Press Shops," has being organized as a snapshot of work being produced by some of the great indie printmaking shops today in the Northeast U.S.. "Curated in collaboration with James Reed, Collections Manager for Silvermine’s Gabor Peterdi International Print Collection," this show includes 9 independent presses that have "contributed in a significant way to the contemporary art of printmaking. Among their many specialties are original fine-art lithographs, hand-printed fine art editions, mixed-media prints, and artists’ books." Featured among the greats is Philadelphia's own Petrichor Press, who is displaying two of my lithographs, Stripescape I and II, among other editions they've produced over the last two years.
